Bridgestone Develops Bespoke Premium Tyres for New Porsche Macan Electric and Panamera

Bridgestone has partnered with Porsche to create bespoke tyres for the brand’s latest launches – the all-electric Macan and the third-generation Panamera.
Both models are now available with custom-engineered Bridgestone Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tyres, with the Panamera also offering a winter-ready option in the form of tailor-made Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tyres.
This marks two major milestones for Bridgestone: its first original equipment fitment on the Panamera, and its first bespoke tyre developed specifically for an electric Porsche.
Steven De Bock, Vice President of Original Equipment at Bridgestone EMEA, said: “After our collaboration on the Porsche Cayenne, we’re breaking new ground in our partnership. It’s exciting to provide premium fitments that help Porsche drivers get the most out of these two incredible and very different cars.”
Potenza Sport Tailored for Porsche’s First Electric SUV
The new Macan Electric is fitted with a bespoke version of Bridgestone’s flagship Potenza Sport tyre. Designed to handle the high torque and weight of an electric SUV, the tyre offers strong dry and wet handling, high-speed stability, and excellent braking performance, while also optimising rolling resistance to support the Macan Electric’s impressive 600km range.
The custom Potenza Sport tyres feature Bridgestone’s ENLITEN Technology – a next-generation platform that combines premium performance with enhanced sustainability. Developed and manufactured in Europe, the tyres are available globally in six dimensions, ranging from 20″ to 22″.
Panamera Drivers Get Year-Round Performance
For the new Panamera, Bridgestone has developed two tailor-made options. The 21″ Potenza Sport provides year-round ultra-high performance, enhancing sporty handling, driver comfort and efficiency, thanks to ENLITEN Technology.
Meanwhile, for winter conditions, Porsche drivers can opt for the 20″ Blizzak LM005. Designed to maximise dry, wet and snow performance, the winter-specific tyre ensures the Panamera’s dynamic capabilities are maintained even in challenging conditions. Like the Macan Electric tyres, both Panamera options are developed and produced in Europe.
Virtual Tyre Development Speeds Up Innovation
Both projects made use of Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology. By simulating and refining tyre designs digitally, Bridgestone was able to reduce raw material consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 60% during the development phase.
This technology also helped fine-tune the tyres’ braking capabilities and dynamic stability, ensuring they meet the high-performance expectations Porsche drivers demand – whether behind the wheel of an electric SUV or a luxury sports saloon.
